Spurs 99, Suns 96: Tony Parker scored 15 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter and Danny Green snapped out of a slump with 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting as San Antonio held off visiting Phoenix.
Tim Duncan chipped in 17 points and Boris Diaw scored 11 for the Spurs, who swept a back-to-back set after rallying in Denver on Tuesday. Parker scored the team's final seven baskets and Phoenix's Gerald Green misfired on a potential tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.
Markieff Morris led the Suns with 23 points and 12 rebounds off the bench. Gerald Green and Miles Plumlee added 15 apiece, and Eric Bledsoe scored 14 to go with five assists.
The Spurs raced to a 29-21 lead after one quarter but couldn't put away the pesky Suns. Phoenix heated up in the second quarter and took a 53-51 halftime lead and it was tight throughout the second half.
Phoenix twice took a one-point lead in the final two minutes, but Parker answered each time and made a slick cut to the basket for an easy layup off an inbounds play to make it 99-96 with 12.8 seconds left. The ball was knocked out of bounds off the Spurs after Bledsoe missed a 3-pointer, giving the Suns one more chance, but Green's shot at the buzzer was well off the mark.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Phoenix entered the game averaging 24.8 fast break points but was limited to nine. … Suns G Goran Dragic and C Alex Len both missed their second consecutive game with ankle injuries. … Spurs PF Matt Bonner sat out with tightness in his left calf. Bonner missed the second half of Tuesday's game at Denver with the same issue and is listed as day-to-day.
