Love collected 24 points and 12 rebounds, Pekovic added 15 points and 10 boards, and Rubio chipped in 14 points and 10 assists for the Timberwolves. Minnesota was 26-of-33 from the foul line and scored 25 points off 21 Thunder turnovers.
Oklahoma City star Kevin Durant was limited to 13 points on 4-of-11 shooting - his lowest scoring output since he was held to 12 by Phoenix on Dec. 31, 2011 - and the Thunder shot 34.9 percent from the field and were 7-of-31 from 3-point range.
The Thunder held their last lead at 4-2. Minnesota broke it open with a 19-6 run late in the first quarter and led 34-19 after one. Oklahoma City went more than six minutes between field goals in the second quarter, and the Timberwolves took a 59-39 lead into halftime.
Love scored 10 straight Minnesota points in the third quarter, as the Timberwolves never let the margin slip below 16 points in the second half while cruising to their first 2-0 start since 2006-07.
