Heat 88, Bulls 65:
LeBron James had 27 points and eight assists and Miami held host Chicago to 25.7 percent shooting to take a 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinal series.

Chris Bosh added 14 points as the Heat dominated the contest and held the Bulls to their lowest scoring output in franchise playoff history. Miami can clinch the best-of-seven series at home in Wednesday’s Game 5.

Carlos Boozer had 14 points and 12 rebounds and Jimmy Butler scored 12 points as the Bulls also posted the lowest shooting percentage in the franchise’s playoff history. Nate Robinson missed all 12 of his field-goal attempts and didn’t score in 32 minutes.

The Bulls had 33 first-half points and followed that with a franchise playoff-record low nine in the third quarter and trailed 61-42 after Norris Cole swished a 3-pointer at the buzzer. Miami’s lead topped out at 26 points in the final stanza.

Chicago scored the first basket and Miami rolled off the next 11 points to take control. The Heat had a 13-point lead early in the second quarter after back-to-back 3-pointers by Shane Batter and Ray Allen and led 44-33 at the break.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Chicago’s previous worst shooting percentage in a playoff game was 31.1 percent while losing Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals to the Detroit Pistons on June 3, 1990. The previous low point total of 69 also came against Detroit in the second round of the 2007 playoffs. … Cole missed his first 3-pointer of the series – he is 9-for-10 in the four games. … Bulls PG Kirk Hinrich (calf) missed his seventh straight game while F Luol Deng (illness) missed his sixth consecutive contest.
