Stephen Jackson scored 10 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter as the visiting Milwaukee Bucks used a strong second half to edge the Houston Rockets, 105-99, on Wednesday.
Brandon Jennings and Mike Dunleavy combined for 38 points and Ersan Ilyasova pulled down 19 rebounds off the bench for the Bucks, who lost starting center Andrew Bogut to an ankle injury in the first quarter. Bogut managed to limp to the bench but had to be carted into the locker room.
The Rockets held a 51-42 lead at the half but trailed, 72-70, going into the final 12 minutes. Milwaukee continued its surge into the fourth, beginning the frame with a 14-0 burst capped by back-to-back 3-pointers from Dunleavy and Jackson.
Dunleavy and Jackson connected from beyond the arc on back-to-back possessions again later in the fourth, giving the Bucks a 96-81 lead with 4:48 left.
Houston had one more run in it, using a 13-2 burst to cut it to 98-94 with 1:14 to play. But Milwaukee went 7 of 8 from the free throw line in the final 33 seconds to seal it.
Kevin Martin scored 29 points and Samuel Dalembert collected 13 points and 18 rebounds for the Rockets, who had a seven-game winning streak snapped.
