LeBron James scored 32 points, including six decisive free throws in the final 79 seconds, to lift the visiting Miami Heat to a 101-98 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night.

Chris Bosh added 27 points to help the Heat to their fifth win in the last six games.

Austin Daye scored a career-high 28 points and Greg Monroe added 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Pistons, who lost for the 12th time in 14 games.

Miami led 90-80 with just over seven minutes remaining, but Daye scored six points in a 12-0 run to put Detroit in front 92-90 with 3:15 left.

Jonas Jerebko's 3-pointer with 1:33 to play gave the Pistons their last lead at 98-95, but James went 6 of 6 from the free-throw line to seal the win.

Miami appeared on the verge of breaking the game open in the second quarter, opening double-digit leads on three occasions.

Daye led the Pistons back, scoring 18 points in the quarter as Detroit connected on 13 of 17 shots.
