Carlos Boozer collected 23 points and eight rebounds and Derrick Rose added 22 points and eight assists as the Chicago Bulls bounced back from a rare loss with a 92-68 victory over the visiting Detroit Pistons on Monday.
Ronnie Brewer chipped in 12 points for the Bulls, who held the Pistons to nine points in the fourth quarter.
Chicago had not allowed a team to reach 100 points until suffering a 109-94 loss at Atlanta on Saturday. Putting that loss behind them immediately, the Bulls locked down on the defensive end against Detroit and forced 18 turnovers.
The Pistons made their best move in the third quarter, using a 10-4 run to chop the deficit down to 62-57 with 3:04 left in the period.
The Bulls called a timeout and regrouped, pushing it back out to 68-59 by the end of the third and continuing the run into the fourth quarter.
Chicago allowed Detroit one field goal in the first 10:10 of the final period and extended the lead out to 83-62 with 4:33 when Rose dunked in transition after a turnover, forcing a Pistons timeout.
The starters came out at that point but the bench kept it going. Detroit ended up with three field goals in the fourth.
