Al Horford and Josh Smith posted double-doubles as the frontcourt duo helped the Atlanta Hawks snap a four-game losing streak with a 111-105 home victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday.
Horford had 28 points and 10 rebounds and Smith added 23 points and 10 boards to lead the Hawks (7-4). Joe Johnson added 17 points and five assists and Jamal Crawford had 11 points off the bench for Atlanta, which had lost four straight since starting the season 6-0.
Michael Beasley led the Timberwolves (3-8) with 25 points on 10-of-16 shooting. Beasley has scored 102 points in the past three games.
One game after becoming the first NBA player in 18 years with 30 points and 30 rebounds in the same contest, Minnesota's Kevin Love had 22 points and 17 rebounds.
Sebastian Telfair had 18 points and eight assists for Minnesota, which shot 47.4 percent from the field but committed 21 turnovers.
