Blackhawks 2, Wild 1 (OT): Patrick Kane scored 9:40 into overtime as visiting Chicago won Game 6 to advance to the Western Conference final.

Defenseman Brent Seabrook's dump-in took a strange bounce off the end boards, and Peter Regin was tangled up with Minnesota blue-liner Ryan Suter as both skated past the puck. Kane swooped in and gained control before moving to his backhand and lifting the puck under the crossbar.

Kris Versteeg also tallied for the reigning Stanley Cup-champion Blackhawks, who await the winner of the second-round series between Anaheim and Los Angeles. Corey Crawford turned aside 34 shots as Chicago improved to 2-4 on the road this postseason.

Rookie Erik Haula scored the lone goal for the Wild, who had won their first five playoff games at Xcel Energy Center. Ilya Bryzgalov finished with 25 saves as Minnesota became the first home team to lose in the series.

Chicago wasted little time getting on the board as Versteeg's pass into the crease from along the end line on the right side caromed off a defender and into the net at 1:58 of the first period. The Wild pulled even 2:29 into the second session, when Haula chased down a loose puck and got ahead of Blackhawks defenseman Johnny Oduya before beating Crawford on a breakaway.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Both teams had tremendous chances late in the second period, but Bryzgalov and Crawford made saves on breakaways 30 seconds apart to keep the contest even. ...
