Bruins 1, Canadiens 0 (OT): Matt Fraser scored 1:19 into overtime and Tuukka Rask turned aside 33 shots for his fifth career postseason shutout as visiting Boston evened its Eastern Conference second-round series with Montreal at two games apiece.

Recalled from Providence of the American Hockey League on Wednesday, Fraser recorded his first career playoff goal while making his postseason debut. Carl Soderberg's bid from in front was denied by Carey Price, but Fraser gained a step on Canadiens defenseman Douglas Murray and tapped home the loose puck from the left doorstep to end the contest.

Soderberg and defenseman Johnny Boychuk each notched an assist for the Bruins, who host Game 5 on Saturday.

Price suffered the hard-luck loss following a 34-save performance for the Canadiens, who fell for the first time in four postseason contests at Bell Centre.

Boston veteran Jarome Iginla hit the post during the first period and Soderberg's bid later in the session rang off the crossbar. Rask denied Montreal captain Brian Gionta's backhand shot on a breakaway in the second before Reilly Smith's chance caromed off the crossbar midway through the third to keep the game scoreless.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Original Six rivals failed to score in regulation for the second time in their 174 postseason meetings. Elmer Lach tallied 1:22 into overtime as Montreal won Game 5 to capture the Stanley Cup in 1953. ... Boston C Patrice Bergeron saw his seven-game point streak come a halt and Montreal D P.K. Subban's six-game stretch also ended. ... Boston D Matt Bartkowski replaced D Andrej Meszaros in the lineup while RW Jordan Caron was scratched in favor of Fraser.
