Wichita State 67, No. 10 Creighton 64: Carl Hall logged 17 points and 13 rebounds as the host Shockers upset the Bluejays.

Malcolm Armstead added 15 points, six rebounds and five assists for Wichita State (17-2, 6-1 Missouri Valley Conference). Armstead made two free throws with 16 seconds left to push the Shockers' lead to three before Ethan Wragge missed two 3-pointers in the closing seconds.

Cleanthony Early and Demetric Williams added 13 and 10 points, respectively, for Wichita State while Doug McDermott scored a game-high 25 points for Creighton (17-2, 6-1). Grant Gibbs chipped in 14 points and eight assists for the Bluejays.

Armstead made a pair of 3-pointers early as Wichita State ran out to a 23-16 lead. McDermott's hit from beyond the arc with two seconds left to pull Creighton within 36-33 at halftime.

A McDermott jumper cut the Shockers' lead to 64-63 with 2:25 left. Hall split at the foul line before Gibbs did the same - unable to tie the score - with 26 seconds left.
