No. 21 Minnesota 88, South Dakota State 64:
Andre Hollins scored 20 of his 22 points in a scorching first half and the Golden Gophers coasted past the shorthanded Jackrabbits.

South Dakota State played without star guard and Minnesota native Nate Wolters, who rolled his ankle in practice Monday. Without him, and with Hollins on fire, it became a complete mismatch.

Austin Hollins scored 17 points and Joe Coleman added 15 for the Gophers (9-1), who had a 34-22 advantage on the glass. Jordan Dykstra paced the Jackrabbits (6-3) with 17 points, six rebounds and three steals.

Andre Hollins made his first six 3-point attempts, all in the first half. His first, just over a minute into the contest, opened the scoring and his sixth gave the hosts a 43-21 lead with 2:08 left in the first half.

Austin Hollins made a pair of 3-pointers of his own to bridge halftime and then hit two free throws with 14:59 left to give Minnesota its largest lead at 59-28. The Gophers finished with 13 steals and have 28 in their last two games.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Wolters leads the Jackrabbits by a wide margin in scoring (20.8), assists (6.1) and steals (2.4). ... Minnesota is 16-0 against South Dakota State and 61-1 against teams currently in the Summit League. ... Gophers coach Tubby Smith needs one more win to become the 19th active Division I coach to reach 500.
