Michigan State 89, LIU Brooklyn 67: Draymond Green had 24 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists for his second career NCAA tournament triple-double as the Spartans rolled in the second round.

Top-seeded Michigan State (28-7) will meet No. 9 seed Saint Louis in Sunday's third round of the West Regional.

Green joined fellow Michigan State star Magic Johnson as the only players to accomplish the feat twice in NCAA play. Green collected 23 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in a loss to UCLA last year.

After 16th-seeded LIU Brooklyn crept to within four early in the second half, Michigan State took control by scoring the next six points, with Green scoring on back-to-back trips to give his team a 52-42 cushion with 16:15 left.

The Blackbirds (25-9) could not get closer than seven the rest of the way.

Derrick Nix scored 18 points and Adreian Payne had 16 for the Spartans while Jamal Olasewere led LIU Brooklyn with 17.
