Austin Rivers led the way with 18 points, five assists and five rebounds as No. 5 Duke easily dispatched host Virginia Tech 75-60 on Thursday.

Ryan Kelly added 15 points off the bench and Seth Curry scored 11 in his first game as a reserve for the Blue Devils (19-3, 6-1 ACC), who have won three straight and will host Miami on Sunday before a showdown at rival North Carolina on Wednesday.

Disappointed with the way his team played down the stretch in a win over St. John’s on Saturday, coach Mike Krzyzewski changed up his lineup Wednesday, bringing Curry and Kelly off the bench and inserting Tyler Thornton and Josh Hairston into the starting lineup.

No matter the role, it was Kelly who sparked Duke in the first half. The junior forward scored seven points during a 17-7 run to close the first half, giving the Blue Devils a 38-28 lead at the break.

Kelly had five more points and Rivers buried a 3-pointer during a 10-0 run in the second half that pushed the lead to 62-39 with 11:26 to play.

Rivers’ 3-pointer with 1:40 left - his fourth of the night - made it 75-57 as Duke coasted to the finish.

Erick Green collected 17 points and seven rebounds for Virginia Tech (12-10, 1-6).
