Okaro White scored a career-high 20 points and Florida State ended a three-game losing streak with a 76-51 victory over visiting Charleston Southern on Monday.

Michael Snaer scored a season-high 13 points and Bernard James added 12 for Florida State (6-3), which held Charleston Southern to 29.8 percent (17-of-57) shooting and had a 44-26 advantage on the boards.

The dominating effort ended a rough stretch for the Seminoles, who struggled against stiffer competition after opening the season with five straight wins to climb into the Top 25.

Florida State, picked to finish third in the ACC, went 1-2 in the Battle 4 Atlantis and was then outmuscled in a 65-49 loss to Michigan State on Wednesday.

It got back on track against the Buccaneers (5-3), who had their five-game winning streak come to an end.

Kelvin Martin scored all 13 of his points in the second half for Charleston Southern. After coasting to a 114-81 win over VMI on Saturday, the Buccaneers were stymied by a defense that has led the nation in field goal percentage each of the last two seasons.

Florida State held Charleston Southern to 20 percent shooting (5-of-20) and led 45-18 at the half. The Seminoles, meanwhile, shot 51 percent (17-of-33) and had 18 points off turnovers alone in the opening 20 minutes.They led by as many as 31 in the second half.
