Kemba Walker scored 30 points for the third straight game - a first by a player in the Jim Calhoun era - to lift Connecticut to a 70-67 upset victory over No. 2 Michigan State on Tuesday and a berth in the finals of the Maui Classic.

Walker scored 29 of his 31 points in the second half in a four-point opening-round win against Wichita State on Monday and will lead the unbeaten Huskies (4-0) against the winner of Kentucky-Washington in the championship game on Wednesday.

The 6-foot point guard buried the game-winning jumper with 52 seconds left after the clubs battled back and forth with neither able to take control the whole game. Walker, who hit a shot from the arc to tie the game 34-34 at the half, finished 10-of-19, including 4-of-11 from the arc. He added four assists and three steals.

Alex Oriakhi had 15 points and 17 rebounds - nine offensive - for UConn, which shot just 40.3 percent, but the Huskies committed just nine turnovers and held an 18-11 edge in offensive rebounds.
