Allen Crabbe hit six 3-pointers en route to a game-high 26 points, leading California to an 87-76 victory at Oregon State on Saturday .

The Golden Bears (16-13, 9-8 Pac-10) trailed by as many as five early in the second half, but a breakaway bucket by Brandon Smith sparked a 6-0 spurt that put the visitors on top to stay, 70-65, with 8:35 remaining. Oregon State twice got within two but never regained the upper hand.

California shot a blistering 72 percent (18 of 25) from the floor in the second half, outscoring the Beavers by 17 after the intermission. Oregon State went cold in the final 20 minutes, hitting just 10 of 29 (34.5 percent) after shooting 58.1 percent in the first half.

Jorge Gutierrez finished with 14 points and nine assists for the Golden Bears. Ahmad Starks led the Beavers (10-17, 5-11) with 18 points.
