Nikola Vucevic had 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead Southern Cal over visiting Oregon State 67-56 on Thursday night.
The Trojans (13-11, 5-6 Pac-10), who snapped a two-game losing streak, also got 11 points off the bench from Donte Smith.
Oregon State (9-14, 4-8 Pac-10) was led by Jared Cunningham with 11 points, but he was 1 for 6 from the floor as the Beavers lost for the fifth time in their last six games.
Trailing 11-6, USC went on a 12-0 run to take control. Maurice Jones’ layup midway through the first half gave the Trojans the lead for good 13-11.
USC led 37-23 at the half and Oregon State never got closer than six the rest of the way.
Smith was only 3 for 10 from 3-point range, but hit some big shots to end Beaver runs.
Both teams shot 39.6 percent from the floor.
