Ibrahima Thomas had 12 points and nine rebounds, and Sean Kilpatrick scored 14 points as Cincinnati defeated Seton Hall 70-53 on Friday night in the Big East Conference.

Rashad Bishop had 10 points, while Yancy Gates and Dion Dixon scored nine apiece for the the Bearcats (15-0, 2-0 Big East), who shot 47.1 percent from the field.

Keon Lawrence scored a game-high 15 points off the bench for the Pirates (7-7, 1-1), who shot 33.3 percent from the field. Herb Pope and Fuquan Edwin added 10 points apiece.

Cincinnati evened the all-time series at 6-6, and avenged last season’s 83-76 loss in which they blew a 12-point lead.

The Bearcats play crosstown rival Xavier on Thursday.
