Jazz 89, Magic 88: Rookie Trey Burke made a 3-pointer from the deep right corner with 1.6 seconds left to complete a 17-point night as Utah rallied to edge visiting Orlando and end a six-game losing streak.

Richard Jefferson recorded 17 of his 21 points in the first quarter and Gordon Hayward scored 14 as the Jazz beat the Magic for the seventh straight time. Derrick Favors had 11 points and 12 boards while Enes Kanter also tallied 11 and grabbed 11 rebounds for Utah, which was 11-of-27 from behind the 3-point arc.

Victor Oladipo led the way with 19 points and Arron Afflalo chipped in with 18 for Orlando before missing a long 3-pointer at the buzzer. Nikola Vucevic had 16 points and 13 rebounds while Maurice Harkless scored 15 as the Magic dropped their eighth straight contest and lost for the 33rd time in 37 road games.

Orlando scored 10 straight to tie the game at 74 on Afflalo’s 3-pointer with 4:08 left, but trailed 81-79 after Hayward's jumper with 2:01 to play. The Magic responded on Harkless' steal and dunk and a step-back jumper by Oladipo with 29.9 seconds left, and led 88-86 before a missed free throw by Afflalo set up Burke’s heroics.

Jefferson was 4-of-4 from 3-point range in the first quarter to help Utah to an 11-point lead and it rose to 14 in the second, but Afflalo and Vucevic combined to tally 22 as the Magic pulled within 49-43 at intermission. Harkless scored seven of the final eight points in the third quarter to cut the Magic’s deficit to 66-61.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Burke was only 5-of-15 from the field overall, but made 3-of-7 from behind the 3-point arc after scoring a season-high 30 points in his first meeting against Orlando. … Orlando veteran PG Jameer Nelson sat out his second straight game with a sore left knee and Jazz G Alec Burks missed the contest with a sprained left ankle injury. … Kanter is averaging 10.8 rebounds over the last 11 games.
