Grizzlies 79, Hawks 76: Zach Randolph had 20 points on 10-of-16 shooting as visiting Memphis knocked off Atlanta despite attempting a franchise-record one free throw.

Courtney Lee added 14 points as the Grizzlies halted a two-game losing streak. Nick Calathes added 10 points for Memphis and the squad's only free-throw attempt was converted by Lee on a defensive three seconds call with 8:33 remaining in the third quarter.

Paul Millsap had 20 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and five steals for the Hawks, who lost their third straight game. DeMarre Carroll added 13 points for Atlanta, which was plagued by 21 turnovers leading to 22 points for the Grizzlies.

Memphis had a 77-67 lead after Marc Gasol’s basket with 3:40 to play but made just one shot the rest of the contest. Millsap scored eight straight Atlanta points, including a shot from behind the arc that made it a 3-point margin with 39.2 seconds left, and Lou Williams missed a tying 3-pointer with two seconds left.

Atlanta led by as many as 14 in the opening quarter before Memphis closed the gap to 29-27 at the conclusion. The Hawks held the Grizzlies to 10 second-quarter points to take a 43-37 halftime lead but they tallied just 11 themselves in the third to trail 63-54 entering the final stanza.
