Nets 102, Warriors 98: Joe Johnson led the way with 27 points as host Brooklyn extended its season-long winning streak to four straight by holding off red-hot Golden State.

Kevin Garnett scored 11 of his 13 points in the fourth quarter and Andray Blatche scored 17 points off the bench for the Nets, who moved into the No. 8 spot in the Eastern Conference standings. Shaun Livingston chipped in 13 points and Mirza Teletovic collected eight points and 10 rebounds as Brooklyn improved to 9-9 at home.

Stephen Curry scored 34 points to lead the Warriors, who had a 10-game winning streak overall and a seven-game road streak come to an end. David Lee added 20 points, Klay Thompson scored 14 and Andrew Bogut chipped in 10 points and nine boards as the Warriors finished up their seven-game road trip with a 6-1 mark.

Blatche’s jumper knotted it at 93 with 2:26 remaining and Johnson’s free throws with a minute on the clock made it a three-point lead for the Nets. The Warriors turned it over on the next two possessions and Johnson buried four free throws in the final 10.4 seconds to put it away.

Golden State came out strong and went 6-for-8 from 3-point range in the first quarter, pushing the lead out to 32-16 when Harrison Barnes connected from beyond the arc with 1:43 left in the period. Teletovic and Johnson each hit a 3-pointer in the final 27 seconds to cut it to 32-22 after the first and Brooklyn carried that momentum into the second.

The Warriors went without a field goal for nearly four minutes as the Nets opened the second with an 11-3 spurt to get back into the contest. Garnett’s jumper with 3:21 left in the half put Brooklyn on top 47-46, and it ended up with a 59-52 advantage at the break when Teletovic beat the buzzer from 30 feet.

The Nets stretched the lead to 67-56 before a 12-3 run brought Golden State back into it, and Barnes’ 3-pointer with 32 seconds left in the period sent the Warriors into the fourth with a 76-75 advantage. It went back and forth in the final stanza, with Golden State grabbing a 93-89 lead on Thompson’s 3-pointer with 4:05 to play before running out of gas.
