Pistons 92, Knicks 86: Rodney Stuckey scored 21 points off the bench as host Detroit handed New York its third straight loss.

Josh Smith had 19 points for the Pistons, who had dropped five of their previous six games. Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond each contributed a double-double, combining for 29 points and 22 rebounds.

Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 25 points. JR Smith had 18 in his first game coming off the bench for New York, which was 6-of-24 from long range.

Luigi Datome hit a 3-pointer with 3.2 seconds left in the first half to pull Detroit into a 43-43 tie, and Stuckey had the last seven Pistons points of the third quarter, including a buzzer-beating jumper to put his team up 71-63. Stuckey nailed another jumper to open the fourth and hit a technical free throw moments later to make it an 11-point game.

The lead ballooned to 78-63 on Drummond's dunk off a Stuckey feed before the Knicks scored seven straight points. JR Smith's free throws with 3:34 left got New York within 83-78 but Stuckey converted a pair of free throws and found Josh Smith for a layup to help keep Detroit comfortably ahead.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Pistons leading scorer PG Brandon Jennings scored just two points in 27 minutes as he dealt with an upset stomach. ... New York hit its first six shots but shot 38.6 percent thereafter. ... The Knicks carry a five-game home losing streak into a matchup with the 9-1 Indiana Pacers on Wednesday in New York.
