Spurs 111, Nets 86: Tony Parker had 29 points and 11 assists as visiting San Antonio used a dominant second half to continue its dominance of Brooklyn and become the first NBA team to 40 wins.

Danny Green scored 14 points and Tiago Splitter had 13 as the Spurs bounced back from a surprising setback at Detroit on Friday to improve to 12-1 in their last 13 games despite the absences of Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili.

Matt Bonner and Boris Diaw were also in double figures with 11 and 10 points, respectively, for San Antonio, which erased a 12-point deficit in the second quarter by limiting Brooklyn to 14 points in the third en route to their 19th victory in the last 20 meetings.

Joe Johnson scored 19 points and Brook Lopez added 18 for the Nets, who were outscored 60-29 in the second half after racing to a 35-25 lead after the opening quarter.

The Spurs trailed by six at halftime before going ahead for good with a 12-0 burst and closing the third quarter with a 7-0 spurt to take an 81-71 lead. Bonner and Diaw buried 3-pointers to spark a 10-0 run and build the lead to 20 midway through the fourth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Duncan (knee) missed his third straight game and seventh in the last eight while Ginobili (hamstring) was sidelined for his fourth game in a row. ... Parker did not have a turnover as the Spurs committed only seven compared to 18 for Brooklyn. ... Deron Williams scored 15 points for the Nets, who trailed by 10 after three quarters despite shooting 53.8 percent.
