Lakers 111, 76ers 98: Kobe Bryant scored 34 points to top 30 for the sixth straight game and Metta World Peace had 19 points and a career-high 16 rebounds as visiting Los Angeles won its second straight game.

Dwight Howard had 17 points and 11 rebounds and Darius Morris added a career-high 15 points – all in the first half – as the Lakers made 14 3-pointers while earning a split of a four-game road trip.

Nick Young scored a season-best 30 points and made six 3-pointers for Philadelphia, which lost its third straight game. Evan Turner and Spencer Hawes each added 16 points.

Los Angeles began pulling away with 10 straight points bridging the first and second quarters for a nine-point lead. The Lakers were 10-of-15 from 3-point range in the first half en route to a 60-50 edge.

Philadelphia trailed 87-73 entering the final quarter but scurried to within nine on a 3-pointer by Hawes with 8:27 remaining. Los Angeles answered with a 14-5 surge to push its lead up to 105-87 with under four minutes left.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Bryant is the first player to score 30 or more points in six straight games after turning 34. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (1981-82) and Michael Jordan (1997-98) did it in five consecutive contests. … Philadelphia PG Jrue Holiday (foot) missed his second straight game. … Lakers F Pau Gasol (tendinitis in both knees) missed his eighth consecutive contest.
