Nets 114, Cavaliers 101: Deron Williams had a season-high 26 points to go along with 10 assists as host Brooklyn built a 22-point halftime lead in rolling to its third straight victory.

Joe Johnson scored 16 of his 25 points in a span of under four minutes in the fourth quarter to fend off a late rally by Cleveland, which suffered its fourth straight loss in the finale of a six-game road trip.

Center Brook Lopez added 23 points and seven rebounds for the Nets, who shot 58 percent (25-of-43) in the first half and seized command with an 11-0 spurt to open the second quarter.

Anderson Varejao had a monster night for the Cavaliers, scoring 35 points and pulling down 18 rebounds. Point guard Kyrie Irving added 34 points, with 26 coming in the second half.

The Nets led by 19 before Cleveland closed the third quarter with a 9-0 run to cut the deficit to 85-75. The Cavs still were within striking distance until Johnson buried back-to-back 3-pointers to restore Brooklyn's lead to 17 with just over 6 1/2 minutes to play.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The 64 first-half points marked a season high for the Nets, who have scored 60 in the opening half in three of their four home games. ... Varejao was a one-man team for Cleveland in the first half, scoring 17 points and grabbing seven boards in the opening quarter and owning a double-double (21 and 11) at halftime. ... The Nets again were without F Gerald Wallace and G MarShon Brooks, who both are dealing with ankle injuries.
