Drew Gooden notched his first career triple-double and John Salmons scored 32 points, one shy of his career high, as the Milwaukee Bucks held on for a 108-101 home win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday.

The Bucks, the league’s worst offensive team at 91.4 points per game, led by 16 at the half and had posted 85 points after three quarters.

But they had to hold on in the fourth as the Cavs cut the deficit to 85-83 on a 3-pointer from Christian Eyenga with 10:18 remaining. Michael Redd and Brandon Jennings had key 3-pointers in the quarter and Milwaukee (33-47) never relinquished the lead.

Starting in place of Andrew Bogut at center, Gooden had 15 points, 13 rebounds and 13 assists before fouling out in the game’s final minute. He had the triple-double by the end of the third quarter.

Baron Davis had 19 points, Alonzo Gee added 14 and Ramon Sessions 15 points off the bench for the Cavs (17-63), who stayed tied with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the league’s worst record. Minnesota lost in Denver.

Jennings had 14 points and nine assists and Redd had 10 points in his best game since recently returning from reconstructive knee surgery.
