Omri Casspi made six 3-pointers and finished with 20 points, Tyreke Evans added 21 and the Sacramento Kings overcame a 16-point halftime deficit Saturday to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 107-104.

Evans scored 12 of his points in a pivotal third quarter that turned the game’s momentum, and Carl Landry chipped in with 17 on a night the Kings made nine 3-pointers and shot 52 percent from the floor. Sacramento entered the third trailing 67-53 before outscoring the Cavaliers 31-15 in the quarter.

The Cavs’ defense failed them for the second straight night. Coach Byron Scott was upset with the lack of defensive intensity in their 101-81 loss to Toronto on Friday and the second half against the Kings wasn’t much better.

Ramon Sessions scored 21 points, J.J. Hickson had 15 and Daniel Gibson had 20 off the bench for the Cavaliers (1-2). Gibson had a chance to tie the game at the buzzer, but his half-court heave was off the mark.

Beno Udrih had 12 points, all in the first half, and DeMarcus Cousins had 14 as all five Kings starters finished in double figures.
