Amed Rosario's two-out infield single scored Richie Palacios from third base in the bottom of the 13th inning, lifting the Tampa Bay Rays to a 7-6 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday in St. Petersburg, Fla.

An RBI single by Zach Neto in the top of the 13th gave the Angels a 6-5 lead, but the Rays scored twice in the bottom of the inning with two-out hits to earn the win.

With automatic runner Rene Pinto at second base in the bottom of the frame, Angels reliever Carson Fulmer struck out two batter before Palacios hit an RBI double. Two walks, one of which was intentional, loaded the bases for Rosario, who beat out a slow chopper to Anthony Rendon at third base to drive in the winning run.

Garrett Cleavinger (3-0), the last of eight Rays who pitched in the game, got the win over Fulmer (0-1), one of seven Angels pitchers.

Starting with an automatic runner on second base, each team scored a run in both the 10th and 11th innings, and neither team scored in the 12th.

The Rays entered the bottom of the ninth trailing 3-1 with only one hit in the game. Angels closer Carlos Estevez got the first two hitters in the inning before back-to-back singles by Harold Ramirez and Rosario put the tying runs on base.

Jose Caballero followed with a triple into the right field corner, scoring both baserunners to tie the game at 3-3. Estevez was able to get the third out of the inning to send the game into extra innings.

The Angels' Jose Soriano made his second career start. The hard-throwing right-hander gave up just one run and one hit in five innings, though he walked five. Soriano fanned six.

He hit 100 mph on the radar gun 11 times, but none after the third, and handed the ball over to the bullpen to start the sixth. Luis Garcia (sixth inning), Hunter Strickland (seventh) and Matt Moore (eighth) were perfect through three innings. Moore needed just seven pitches in his inning.

Soriano and Rays starter Aaron Civale matched each other zero for zero for three innings before the Angels broke through in the fourth. Civale got the first two outs of the inning before yielding a single to Miguel Sano.

Mickey Moniak, starting in center field for Mike Trout, who was the designated hitter, got hold of a fastball from Civale and drove it over the fence in center for his first home run of the season and a 2-0 Angels lead.

Logan O'Hoppe followed with a homer to increase Los Angeles' lead to 3-0.

The Rays pushed across their only run against Soriano in the bottom of the fourth. Randy Arozarena led off with a walk and went to second on a single by Palacios.

Isaac Paredes flied out to center, Arozarena tagging from second and taking third, and Arozarena scored on a groundout by Ramirez.
