PHOENIX -- Arizona first baseman Paul Goldschmidt hit his 30th homer and Zack Greinke moved into a tie for the major league lead in victories in the Diamondbacks' 4-3 victory over the San Francisco Giants on Friday night at Chase Field.

Goldschmidt's homer capped a four-run third inning against left-hander Ty Blach and Greinke improved to 15-6, tying the Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw for the major league high for wins.

Greinke gave up seven hits and three runs (two earned) before leaving with two outs in the seventh inning after the Giants trimmed the deficit to 4-3 on an unearned run after shortstop Ketel Marte's fielding error.

Goldschmidt is the first player in franchise history with three 30-homer, 100-RBI seasons. Luis Gonzalez did it twice.

Goldschmidt, David Peralta and Chris Iannetta had two hits for Arizona (71-58), which has won four of five.

Fernando Rodney pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning for his 31st save in 36 chances.

Greinke is 12-1 with a 2.36 ERA in 15 home starts this season. He gave up seven hits and struck out four.

The Diamondbacks pulled 1 1-2 games ahead of Colorado (69-59) in the National League wild-card race after the Rockies lost at Atlanta.

Brandon Crawford had two doubles and a single, Pablo Sandoval had two hits and Nick Hundley had two RBIs for the Giants (52-78), who have lost four of six.

Blach (8-10) gave up six hits and four runs in five innings. He struck out two and walked two.

Crawford and Sandoval singled with one out in the second inning. Greinke picked Crawford off second base before Hundley doubled to drive in Sandoval for a 1-0 lead. Hundley was tagged in a rundown between second and third.

Peralta singled in the third inning before Chris Iannetta did the same, and the runners moved up a base on center fielder Denard Span's fielding error. Pollock beat out a dribbler to third to make it 1-1 before Goldschmidt homered for a 4-1 lead.

Crawford doubled to open the fifth and took third on Sandoval's single. Crawford scored when Hundley grounded into a forceout at second to make it 4-2. Greinke got out of it with a double play.
