Twins 11, White Sox 4: Rookie Kennys Vargas homered for the second straight game and drove in three runs while Trevor May earned his first major league victory as host Minnesota had its way with John Danks and Chicago.

Eduardo Nunez recorded his second career four-hit game and had two RBIs, Eduardo Escobar registered three hits and drove in two, and Oswaldo Arcia also knocked in a pair for the Twins, who won for only the third time in 11 games. May (1-4) allowed three runs, six hits and struck out six in five innings to lower his ERA from 10.42 to 9.38.

Dayan Viciedo hit a two-run homer and recorded three RBIs while rookie phenom Jose Abreu had two hits to extend his hitting streak to 13 games for the White Sox. Danks (9-10) extended his winless streak to seven starts after yielding seven runs and 11 hits in 4 2/3 innings.

The first three Twins recorded hits, with Nunez providing an RBI triple and Joe Mauer following with a run-scoring infield hit, and after a double play, Josmil Pinto and Arcia delivered back-to-back doubles. Viciedo's 19th home run came with two out in the fourth and landed in the second deck in left to cut the White Sox' deficit to 3-2.

After Adam Eaton's RBI single tied it in the fifth, Minnesota took an 8-3 lead with five runs in bottom half - highlighted by Escobar's two-run triple and Vargas' RBI single - on five hits, a fielder's choice and an error. Vargas, who has 31 RBIs in 32 games, belted a 2-0 pitch into the second deck in left in the sixth for his sixth home run.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Chicago's Paul Konerko, who will retire at season's end and was making his final appearance in Minnesota, was honored during a pregame ceremony. He was presented with a $10,000 check by Twins manager Ron Gardenhire made out to Children’s Home + Aid, a charity in which Konerko is involved. ... Minnesota gets a chance to play spoiler as it hosts the first-place Los Angeles Angels in a four-game series beginning Thursday. ... Mauer is 23-for-57 against Danks, whose last victory came in Minnesota on July 25.
