Mets 9, Rockies 8 (10): Jordan Pacheco delivered a two-out single to score Carlos Gonzalez in the bottom of the 10th inning as Colorado rallied from a six-run deficit to complete a doubleheader sweep at frozen Coors Field.

With the temperature at 30 degrees, Gonzalez moved to third base when Michael Cuddyer's single bounced off third baseman David Wright with two outs before Pacheco drilled a line drive between first and second off Greg Burke (0-1). Gonzalez had three hits and scored three runs.

Rafael Betancourt (1-0) worked around a pair of walks in the 10th inning to earn the victory. The Mets' Marlon Byrd had three RBIs while shortstop Ruben Tejada drove in a pair, but made a crucial error in the eighth inning to allow the Rockies to tie the game 8-8.

New York took an 8-2 lead with five runs in the fifth inning as Byrd started the uprising by serving a two-run single into right field. Justin Turner and Tejada
followed with RBI singles to end starter Jeff Francis' night and Jordany Valdespin capped the outburst with a run-scoring infield hit off reliever Adam Ottavino.

Colorado scored four runs in its half of the fifth, capped by Yorvit Torrealba's two-run double. In the eighth, Mets closer Bobby Parnell came in and got Cuddyer to hit a ground ball with two outs, but Tejada's throw sailed past first baseman Ike Davis - his sixth error of the season, allowing two runs to score.
