Cubs 3, Astros 2:
Rookie Anthony Rizzo hit his first home run of the season - and second of his career - to lift host Chicago to its fourth victory in the last five games.

Houston took an early lead on RBI singles by Jordan Schafer and J.D. Martinez in the third and fourth innings, respectively, but the Cubs came back with three runs in the fifth against J.A. Happ (6-8). After Starlin Castro got Chicago on the board with an RBI base hit, Rizzo took a 1-0 pitch over the wall in right field for a two-run homer.

Cubs starter Matt Garza (4-6) went 5 1/3 innings, giving up nine hits and walking three but getting the Astros to hit into three double plays. Five relievers combined to finish the game off, with Carlos Marmol working around a one-out walk in the ninth inning for his second save in as many days.

David DeJesus and Alfonso Soriano had outfield assists for Chicago, both gunning down runners at third base after base hits by the Astros.

Happ gave up five hits and four walks in six innings, striking out six.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Happ is 0-11 over his last 16 road starts. ... Rizzo is 4-for-15 in four games since making his Cubs debut. ... Houston is 9-27 on the road and has lost 58 of its last 76 away from home. ... The Cubs won for only the second time in Garza’s last 10 outings. ... Marmol is 5-for-5 in save opportunities since reclaiming Chicago's closer spot in mid-June.
