Pirates 4, Marlins 3: Neil Walker snapped a tie with a leadoff home run in the fifth inning and host Pittsburgh held on for its third straight victory.

The Pirates trailed 3-1 before Pedro Alvarez began the comeback with a one-out solo blast, his 20th, in the fourth. Clint Barmes delivered an RBI single later in the frame to forge a tie, and Walker launched a 2-2 offering from Ricky Nolasco over Clemente Wall in right field for his eighth homer as Pittsburgh improved to a National League-best 30-14 at home.

Kevin Correia (7-6) notched his career-high fifth consecutive win, allowing three runs and eight hits over five innings. Joel Hanrahan worked out of a jam in the ninth for his 27th save in 30 opportunities.

Jose Reyes swatted Correia's second pitch of the game over the wall in right-center field to extend his hitting streak to eight games and Carlos Lee added an RBI groundout later in the inning for a 2-0 lead.

Garrett Jones put Pittsburgh on the board in the bottom of the first with a run-scoring single, but Miami regained its two-run advantage in the fourth as Omar Infante raced home on Nolasco's sacrifice.

Nolasco (8-8) surrendered four runs and eight hits over six innings. The right-hander, who struck out seven and walked one, has lost five of his last seven decisions.

Reyes collected three hits for the Marlins, who have dropped 11 of 15 on the road.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Marlins 3B Hanley Ramirez was not in the starting lineup due to a swollen and infected right hand that landed him in the hospital Friday afternoon. Ramirez initially hurt his hand on July 8 and the infection reportedly is a result of his not taking the prescribed antibiotics. He entered the game as a pinch runner in the ninth inning and stole a base. ... Nolasco served up two home runs after keeping the Pirates in the park over 55 2/3 innings in 10 career meetings. ... Walker has hit safely in 18 of his last 19 contests.
