Colby Lewis pitched into the seventh inning to pick up his first victory in nearly two months as the Texas Rangers earned a split of a four-game series with a 4-2 triumph over the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday.

Lewis (10-12) limited the Toronto offense to a single run over 6 2/3 innings, allowing five hits with two walks while striking out eight. It was his first victory since July 16, ending a personal seven-game losing streak.

Mitch Moreland did the majority of the damage for Texas with a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning and a two-run double in the sixth. The Rangers have won two straight following a five-game losing skid, and moved 7 1/2 games ahead of idle Oakland in the American League West race.

Neftali Feliz pitched a perfect ninth inning for his 35th save of the season.

Jose Bautista belted his league-leading 44th home run while Lyle Overbay added a solo shot to account for the rest of the Toronto offense.

Shawn Hill (0-1) allowed four runs, three earned, in 5 1/3 innings in his first major-league start since April 2009.
