Alexei Ramirez belted a two-run home run to back the solid pitching of Mark Buehrle as the visiting Chicago White Sox edged the Texas Rangers 5-3 on Sunday night.

Ramirez's blast capped a three-run sixth inning that put the White Sox ahead to stay and enabled them to win the rubber game of the series.

Buehrle (7-7) went seven strong innings, allowing three runs on five hits while not walking a batter or registering a strikeout.

He gave up a two-run homer to Josh Hamilton in the fourth inning and a solo blast to Julio Borbon in the fifth, improving to 4-1 in his last five starts.

J.J. Putz pitched a perfect eighth and Matt Thornton worked around a leadoff walk in the ninth to record his fifth save.

Mark Kotsay and Carlos Quentin had RBI doubles for the White Sox, who became the first team to take a home series from the Rangers since the Chicago Cubs turned the trick from May 21-23.

Texas starter Scott Feldman (5-8) lasted six innings, surrendering five runs on eight hits in absorbing his second straight defeat.
