Stars 3, Oilers 2 (OT): Jaromir Jagr scored at 1:46 of overtime as visiting Dallas continued its dominance of Edmonton.
Devan Dubnyk steered Jamie Benn's shot into the right corner, where Jagr gained possession. After deking around Oilers defenseman Ryan Whitney, the 40-year-old beat Dubnyk to the short side from the right faceoff circle for his 668th career goal, which ties him with Luc Robitaille for 10th place on the all-time list.
Benn and Derek Roy also scored while Kari Lehtonen made 27 saves for the Stars, who have won five straight and 10 of the last 11 meetings between the teams. Dallas has not scored more than three goals since netting four in a season-opening win over Phoenix.
Ales Hemsky had a goal and an assist, rookie defenseman Justin Schultz tallied and Sam Gagner extended his point streak to 10 games with an assist for Edmonton, which has gone 1-1-3 while scoring two goals or less in each of its last five games.
After a scoreless first period, Hemsky got Edmonton on the board 3:21 into the second with his fourth goal. Benn knotted the contest 10 minutes later and Roy put Dallas ahead with a one-timer from the right point during a power play with 1:16 remaining in the session, but Schultz answered with a man-advantage blast at 7:38 of the third.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Oilers C Ryan Nugent-Hopkins sat out with an upper-body injury, allowing RW Mark Arcobello to make his NHL debut. Arcobello blocked two shots in 18:15 of ice time. ... Dallas D Alex Goligoski was a healthy scratch, as coach Glen Gulutzan believes he is not playing up to his potential. "Alex needs to get back to Alex's level. It's pretty cut and dried," Gulutzan told the Dallas Morning News. Goligoski has three assists in 10 games this season. ... Edmonton C Anton Lander suffered a foot injury in the first period and did not return. Lander reportedly was walking on crutches after undergoing X-rays.
