FLYERS 5, PANTHERS 0: Ilya Bryzgalov recorded his second shutout in three games with 28 saves and Matt Read scored his rookie-leading 19th goal as host Philadelphia cruised to its fourth straight victory.

All-Star Scott Hartnell extended his career high with his 32nd tally and Jaromir Jagr and rookie Brayden Schenn netted power-play goals. Playing in his 800th career game, Danny Briere joined All-Star Claude Giroux in notching a pair of assists.

Starting his 10th straight game, Bryzgalov preserved his fourth shutout of the campaign and 27th career by stopping eight shots in the third period. With the win, the Russian improved to 4-0-1 in his career versus the Panthers.

Schenn opened the scoring midway through the first period after his wrist shot from the right faceoff circle sailed past Jose Theodore. The tally was Schenn's ninth of the season and first since Feb. 12.

After Read doubled the advantage 3:06 into the second period, Hartnell whipped Wells Fargo Center into a frenzy when he scored on a breakaway midway into the session.

Jagr, who was a game-time decision with a hip injury, scored on a 5-on-3 power play and Eric Wellwood capped the scoring on a breakaway late in the third period.
