Graham Gano kicked a 33-yard field goal with 8:06 remaining in overtime and Donovan McNabb passed for 357 yards as the Washington Redskins rallied to earn a 16-13 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
Santana Moss caught seven passes for 118 yards for the Redskins (3-2), who were held to just 51 rushing yards with Clinton Portis sidelined with an ankle injury.
The Packers (3-2) looked like they were in control in overtime, but LaRon Landry intercepted a pass from Aaron Rodgers at the Washington 24-yard line. With the benefit of two penalties, McNabb moved the Redskins down the field to set up Gano for the winning kick.
Green Bay jumped on top in the first thanks in large part to a 71-yard run by Brandon Jackson. Rodgers took over from there, hitting James Jones and fullback John Kuhn with passes and finishing it off with a 5-yard strike to tight end Donale Lee for the touchdown.
Mason Crosby made it 10-0 with a 52-yard field goal in the second quarter and the Redskins responded with a field goal to make it 10-3 at the half. Crosby added a 36-yarder in the third to make it 13-3.
But Donovan McNabb brought Washington back, rolling to the right and throwing a 48-yard pass to Anthony Armstrong to make it 13-10 with 11:35 left in the game.
The Redskins finally pulled even on Gano’s 45-yard field goal with 1:07 left, and Crosby missed a 53-yard try at the end of regulation.
