Derrin Boyd scored 18 of his 23 points in the second half and Jacob Ognacevic finished with 16 points as the Lipscomb Bisons pulled away in the second half for a 75-67 victory over host Louisville on Tuesday.

Boyd shot 8 of 11 from the field, including 4 of 5 from 3-point range, to go along with nine rebounds, while Ognacevic went 7 of 12 from the field. Trae Benham chipped in 10 points, with Ahsan Asadullah finishing with eight points and a game-high 10 rebounds.

The Bisons (8-5), who led by as many as 12 points in the second half, shot 30 of 61 (49.2 percent) from the field, including 8 of 27 (29.6 percent) from 3-point range. Lipscomb, which has won two of its past three games, outrebounded the Cardinals 40-26.

Louisville (2-10), which had a two game-winning streak snapped, was led by El Ellis, who had 24 points, which included going 4 of 9 from 3-point range, and six assists. Sydney Curry added 12 points and seven rebounds, with Jae'Lyn Withers chipping in nine points and four rebounds.

The Cardinals shot 22 of 56 (39.3 percent) from the field, including 6 of 18 (33.3 percent) from beyond the arc.

After Curry's layup pulled the Cardinals to within 44-43 with 15:08 left, the Bisons countered with a 12-4 run to take a 56-47 following Benham's 3-pointer with 10:35 to go.

After Lipscomb took a 20-11 lead on Asadullah's layup with 11:11 left in the first half, the Cardinals chipped away, pulling to within 33-32 at the half.

Ellis and Withers scored seven points apiece in the first 20 minutes for Louisville, which shot 13 of 33 (39.4 percent) from the field, including 3 of 9 (33.3 percent) from beyond the arc.

Lipscomb was led by Ognacevic's 11 points, while Will Pruitt and Boyd added five apiece.

The Bisons shot 15 of 32 (46.9 percent) from the field, including an abysmal 3 of 14 (21.5 percent) from distance.
