No. 7 Kentucky 104, LIU-Brooklyn 75: Freshmen Archie Goodwin and Alex Poythress each scored 22 points and Goodwin just missed a triple-double as the Wildcats rolled to their NCAA-best 55th straight home win over the Blackbirds.
Kentucky (4-1), which trailed by six late in the first half, ended the opening 20 minutes on a 15-0 run to take a 55-43 lead into halftime. Goodwin finished with nine rebounds and nine assists and Poythress also grabbed nine boards for the Wildcats, who shot 67.7 percent.
Freshmen Nerlens Noel and Willie Cauley-Stein also came up big for the Wildcats. Noel tallied 18 points, eight rebounds, five assists and five blocked shots while Cauley-Stein added 12 points, eight boards and four blocks.
Julius Mays added 15 points for Kentucky.
Julian Boyd and Jamal Olasewere each scored 22 to pace LIU-Brooklyn (0-4).
