BAYLOR 77, TEXAS TECH 48:
Perry Jones III had 15 points and 10 rebounds, and the No. 10 Bears never trailed in rolling to an easy victory over the visiting Red Raiders.

It was the sixth double-double of the season for Jones III, who finished 5-of-8 from the field and 5-of-5 on free throws.

Baylor (25-5, 12-5 Big 12) opened the game on a 28-13 run and took a 40-15 halftime lead when Anthony Jones hit a layup and 3-pointer on back-to-back possessions near the end of the first half.

Freshman Jordan Tolbert was the only player in double figures with 19 points for Texas Tech (8-21, 1-16 Big 12), which lost its 15th conference game by at least eight points.

The Red Raiders have dropped five in a row since recording their first Big 12 victory against Oklahoma on Feb. 11. The Bears, meanwhile, have won four of five to move into a half-game lead over Iowa State for third place in the Big 12.

After halftime, Baylor’s lead swelled to 30 points for the first time when Brady Heslip hit a jumper to make it 47-17 with 17:08 left.
