Thunder 106, Spurs 97: Russell Westbrook had 26 points, eight rebounds and seven assists and Kevin Durant added 25 points and 10 rebounds as host Oklahoma City defeated San Antonio to cut the Spurs’ lead to 2-1 in the Western Conference finals.

Serge Ibaka returned from a calf injury to produce 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting to go with seven rebounds and four blocks for the Thunder, who will attempt to even the series when they host San Antonio on Tuesday. Reggie Jackson also scored 15 points and Oklahoma City owned a 52-36 rebounding edge while bouncing back from losing the first two games by an average of 26 points.

Manu Ginobili made six 3-pointers and scored 23 points to pace the Spurs, who shot just 39.6 percent of the field. Tim Duncan had 16 points and eight rebounds but Tony Parker struggled mightily with nine points on 4-of-13 shooting.

The Thunder scored the first seven points of the fourth quarter to hold a 14-point lead and Westbrook’s basket with 6:47 remaining provided a 99-82 cushion. San Antonio cleared the bench 40 seconds later and Oklahoma City stretched the lead to as many as 20 before the Spurs closed strong to cut it to single digits.

Ginobili scored 20 first-half points but Oklahoma City shot 56.1 percent from the field to take a 57-53 lead into the break. The Spurs were again within four after Ginobili’s 3-pointer with 2:46 left in the third quarter before the Thunder took an 83-76 advantage into the final quarter.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Ibaka was previously ruled out for the series by Oklahoma City before suddenly regaining his health and he set the tone with eight first-quarter points on 4-of-4 shooting. … The Thunder were 26-of-31 from the free-throw line while the Spurs attempted just 16, making 15. … Thunder G Derek Fisher left in the first half to get six stitches after suffering a cut on his head and returned midway through the third quarter.
