Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson scored 17 points apiece for the Hornets, who snapped an eight-game slide away from home.

Markieff Morris led Phoenix with 18 points and Luis Scola had 17 and pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds. Their teammates combined to shoot 20-for-58 from the field as the Suns fell for the ninth straight time.

Wesley Johnson hit a 3-pointer seconds into the game and Phoenix held the lead until Davis hit four free straight free throws to tie it at 43 early in the third. The rookie gave New Orleans the lead for good with a basket at the 8:57 mark and the Hornets scored the final six points of the frame to go up 74-62 entering the fourth.

The lead expanded to 17 points on Lou Amundson's dunk with 9:04 to go, which gave New Orleans enough of a cushion to survive a late Phoenix rally that included eight points in the final 41 seconds.
