Darren Collison added 18 points and nine assists and Dirk Nowitzki had 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists as the Mavericks improved to 14-1 in the last 15 meetings against the Kings.
Tyreke Evans scored 23 points and DeMarcus Cousins had 17 points and 13 rebounds for Sacramento, which lost its sixth straight road game and fell to 5-23 away from home.
Collison scored eight points in an 18-4 run in the second quarter as Dallas seized control and pulled away to a 59-44 halftime advantage.
The Kings trimmed an 18-point deficit to seven in the third quarter before Carter took over, drilling five 3-pointers in the final 4:37 of the quarter to put the Mavericks in front 92-77 entering the fourth.
