Thunder 127, Suns 96: Kevin Durant scored 21 points and Thabo Sefolosha added a season-best 18 points as host Oklahoma City defeated Phoenix for the ninth straight time.
Kendrick Perkins scored a season-best 17 points on 8-of-9 shooting. Russell Westbrook also scored 17 points and Kevin Martin tallied 16 as the Thunder went 14-of-21 from 3-point range and improved to 23-3 at home.
Michael Beasley scored 25 points and Goran Dragic added 19 for the Suns, who fell to 5-22 on the road.
The Thunder led by five points at halftime but ripped off 21 straight points over a six-minute span of the third quarter to take an 81-55 advantage. The lead reached as many as 32 points in the final quarter and Oklahoma City shot 57.5 percent from the field.
The Thunder had a 10-point lead late in the first quarter but Phoenix rallied to tie the score at 50 on Luis Scola’s basket with 38 seconds left in the half. Oklahoma City scored the final five points of the half for a 55-50 lead.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Oklahoma City committed just eight turnovers and had 62 points in the paint. … The Suns received 66 points from their bench and just 30 from their starting five. … The two teams meet again Sunday in Phoenix when the Thunder look to complete a sweep of the four-game season series.
