Gerald Wallace scored 28 points - his most since joining Portland - as the host Trail Blazers routed the shorthanded Washington Wizards, 111-76, on Tuesday.
The Trail Blazers are 4-1 since Wallace, who was acquired from Charlotte at the trade deadline, entered the starting lineup. He also had eight rebounds.
Nicolas Batum had 22 points and 12 rebounds and LaMarcus Aldridge scored all 22 of his points in the first half as Portland (41-30) moved within one game of Denver for fifth place in the Western Conference. Andre Miller added 11 assists.
Jordan Crawford scored 12 points and fellow rookie John Wall had nine and seven assists for Washington (17-52), which started three rookies and fell to 1-32 on the road. The Wizards, who have lost 18 straight games to teams in playoff position, were without leading scorer Nick Young (knee) and rebounder Andray Blatche (shoulder).
Wallace scored 14 points and Batum had 13 in the first half as Portland took a 62-45 lead. The Trail Blazers led by as many as 38 points in the second half en route to their sixth straight home victory over Washington.
