Julio Rodriguez went 3-for-5 with a homer and four RBIs as the Seattle Mariners defeated the host Washington Nationals 9-5 on Sunday afternoon.

Ty France also went deep and singled home the go-ahead run in the eighth inning for the American League West-leading Mariners, who blew a 4-0 lead before rallying to snap a four-game skid.

Joey Gallo and CJ Abrams homered for the Nationals, who were trying to sweep the three-game interleague series.

Mariners reliever Austin Voth (2-0) got the victory.

After falling behind 5-4, the Mariners rallied in the eighth. J.P. Crawford led off with a double to center off Dylan Floro (1-1). With one out, Crawford advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored the tying run as Rodriguez grounded a single up the middle. Rodriguez stole second and scored on France's two-out single to right.

The Mariners scored three more times in the ninth as Dylan Moore was hit by a bases-loaded pitch from Jordan Weems and Rodriguez lined a two-run single to right.

Abrams hit a three-run homer high off the foul pole in right field in the seventh off reliever Ryne Stanek to give the Nationals a 5-4 lead. That came after a bases-loaded sacrifice fly by pinch hitter Jesse Winker.

The Mariners opened the scoring with an unearned run in the second.

Seattle scored three more times in the fourth to take a 4-0 lead. Rodriguez led off by going deep to left center, his second consecutive game with a home run. Mitch Garver drew a walk and France homered to left.

Gallo got the Nationals on the scoreboard with a solo shot to right center with two outs in the fifth.

Mariners right-hander Bryan Woo, making just his fifth start after beginning the season on the injured list (right elbow inflammation), allowed three runs on five hits in six-plus innings, with no walks and one strikeout. He left with a 4-1 lead and two runners on base.

Nationals lefty Patrick Corbin gave up four runs (three earned) on four hits over six innings, with two walks and four strikeouts.
