JaMychal Green, Charvez Davis and Tony Mitchell combined for 49 points, and Alabama put a bit of punctuation on a surprising regular season with a 65-57 home win against Georgia on Saturday.
Green had 19 points and nine rebounds, Davis scored 17 points, and Mitchell added 13 points and 11 boards for the Crimson Tide, who will be the top seed from the Western Division in next week's SEC Tournament in Atlanta. Alabama (20-10, 12-4 SEC) will have a first-round bye and play its first game in the tournament at 1 p.m. Friday in the quarterfinals.
The Bulldogs (20-10, 9-7 SEC) scored the game's first seven points and led by as many as eight early, but Alabama took its first lead at 18-17 with 6:58 left in the first half and didn't trail again.
Travis Leslie and Trey Thompkins scored 15 points apiece for Georgia, and Dustin Ware added 11. Thompkins also grabbed 10 rebounds.
Georgia's seed for next week's SEC Tournament in Atlanta is still up in the air. The Bulldogs could still finish anywhere from second to fifth in the Eastern Division, depending on the outcome of Saturday's Vanderbilt-Florida game and Sunday's Tennessee-Kentucky game.
