Chris Warren led four players in double figures with 18 points as Mississippi ended a four-game losing streak by shooting a blistering 62 percent in a 78-51 rout of LSU in Baton Rouge on Saturday.
Zach Graham had 17 points and Nick Williams added 14 for Ole Miss (13-7, 1-4 SEC), which was 28 of 45 from the floor, including 10 of 17 from beyond the arc.
The Rebels, who had gotten off to their worst conference start since 2000, broke open a close game with a 16-4 run early in the second half. Warren had one of Ole Miss’ four 3-pointers during the spurt, which gave the Rebels a commanding 54-36 advantage with 12:41 remaining.
Playing without leading scorer Ralston Turner (foot) for a fourth straight game, LSU let the game get out of hand by missing its first six shots of the second half. The Rebels never led by less than 17 the rest of the way.
Freshman Matt Derenbecker kept the Tigers (10-9, 2-2) in the game early with 12 points in the first half.
Derenbecker finished with 14 points for the Tigers, who have lost two straight by a combined 65 points.
