Khris Middleton scored 18 points and Naji Hibbert added 17 as Texas A&M trounced Prairie View A&M 87-63 Wednesday.
B.J. Holmes and Kourtney Roberson scored 12 points apiece for the Aggies (8-1), who shot 49 percent.
Prairie View hung tough for a while, trailing 36-24 at the half and closing to within 45-42 with 15 minutes left in the game. But Texas A&M asserted itself from there, ripping off a 34-9 run over the next 10 minutes to run away with it.
The Aggies are enjoying a stretch of eight straight home games but the competition turns up a notch or two on Sunday when No. 22 Washington comes to town. Another major-conference team, Arkansas, visits next week.
The Panthers (2-9) have not beaten a Division I opponent yet this season and will have to go on the road again next week to face No. 8 Michigan State. They do not have another home game until January 8 against Texas Southern.
